CLOSED CASKET Announces New Singer

February 4, 2008

Adelaide, Australia-based melodic death metallers CLOSED CASKET have announced the addition of vocalist Dan Torode (ex-FATALITY CRIES) to the group's ranks.

Commented guitarist Taigan Harris had the following to say in regards to their new singer: "Replacing Killer [Causby] was a long and arduous task, and while sharing the stage with him for so long was an honour, we felt it was time to seek someone that will add a new dimension to the sound, and we've definately found it in Dan. His voice is incredible, and he caught us off guard from his first audition. The energy, commitment and passion he's brought with him is a refreshing change, and the entire band is feeding off our new frontman. Dan will take the stage with us for the first time on February 9th, 2008 (alongside our labelmates, DOUBLE DRAGON and BLACK LIKE VENGEANCE) so come out, make him feel welcome, and be there for the next era of CLOSED CASKET."

After a busy 2007, releasing their well recieved demo, interstate touring and playing alongside Australia's finest metal bands (FUCK I'M DEAD, TRUTH CORRODED, DOUBLE DRAGON),CLOSED CASKET is currently wrapping up tracking for its debut EP, "Thy Blood, Thy Word", to be released this summer through Truth Inc. Records (Australia). Recorded at Slaughterhouse Studios (TRUTH CORRODED, THE RIVALRY),the CD will contain five new songs, taking the group's "melodic death metal sound to new boundaries with effortless speed and a maturity in songwriting rarely seen in a band so young," according to a press release.
